NW KS/ SC ID
When the truck fleet varies in size and weight, its hard to be legal. One truck and trailer combo can actually legally scale 1000 bushels of wheat (85,500 lbs on 5 axles on non-interstate routes here in KS) and the other is probably not even legal at 850 bushels.

So when I am helping that guy, its hard to keep it legal, but here at home, I try to run legal and do a pretty good job. We have a tri axle Doonan, and I rarely go over on it. I do have to watch my tractor weight since its still a 3 axle, but generally I pile it heavy to the rear and do fine.
