| Boog, that seems like a directional antenna then to me...much like satellite TV. Pointing this in the right direction is critical to getting good signal strength, so you might want to check to make sure it is pointed right for maximum signal. I don't know what you have for determining signal strength, but it might take two people to do this. One to watch whatever you have showing signal strength, and one to move the antenna very slightly side to side and/or up and down to see if your signal improves any. I don't know much about your receiver, but it might be of the type that needs the correct cable with few or no splices in the cable run. With some RF systems, having the wrong cable or having too many splices causes the signal to be reflected causing signal loss.
You might ask your ISP if there is any way to amplify your signal. | |
