Missouri | But did you check the monitor against the seed in the ground?
Too often, when I investigate a complaint based on Advanced Seed Tube Monitoring, I find ASTM crying wolf. The monitor will show planting problems (like you describe), but digging up the seed to check shows properly placed seed. Not always, but about half the time. That's meteorological accuracy; it's literally wrong as often as right. That's why I've come to be of the opinion it needs better sensors. Wavevisions may be the solution. I'm not ready to say that until I can test them myself, but at least the potential is there. I hope it works well for you.
The edgevac meters need a larger seed tube. Where did you find Dickey John sensors that fit that tube? | |
