East Arkansas | Think about what your saying Birddy, who under 40 would be farming? This is a joke, I know this for a fact. I’m not talking about 60 yeR old guys farming 300 acres.
Can’t believe anyone would even argue about this...read university of Illinois farm docs or other AG college sites. How does a young farmer instantly pay for a 2 million dollar line of equipment and have a million in cash to throw at the next crop...money tree....lottery?
I know several guys in my area with a net worth of between 5 and 10 million that don’t have 500K in cash, they do however have lots of land and equipment equity. They would have a million or two in cash from their crop if they sold all of it before they put the next one in or quit farming...
