Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

Never going to have draw water from the very bottom of a well bore as when it reaches that point is is a dry hole. Many wells will have a column of water that is much closer to the surface then what they're drilled. At my place in NE Montana, there is a formation called the Judith River Sands. Usually about 1,400 feet deep. If you drill into this formation, you will have an artesian well. "Water" flows from the casing, all on its own. It is also warm enough to heat a place. Problem is, its full of minerals and scale, not suitable for consumption by humans or livestock, Disposing of water used for heat would be a problem and would kill the soil, there is also enough scale in it that it tends to plug up the casings.
