Chaffee, Western New York
Too much water is our problem. This makes waste water the hassle. Lots of sulfur water as well, putting a premium on quality. Often a water ram would be used to get the clean water over a ridge to a good location to build and disposal of the waste water/or allowance for livestock pollution.

Some small towns still have a spring and gravity feed.

Our area has plentiful clean water but ten miles to the north well water is almost yellow with sulfur.
