I used to hunt elk close to the continental divide, just south of Glacier Park. It was somewhat surprising to find so many springs feeding small streams. Hard to beat a cool drink from a mountain spring. Of course there could also be areas where it would be a long ways down to water. A prudent man would make sure he had a good source of clean water before building a house though.
