West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
Google, "how to use soybean meal as fertilizer." The results surprised me.

The University of North Carolina has done some research on using soybean meal as an organic fertilizer. They also found soybean meal can inhibit the germination of small seeds when soybean meal was broadcast applied. Worms and other microbes living in the soil just love soybean meal.

From these initial tests, it appears that broadcasting and incorporating SBM at the time of planting can significantly inhibit the germination and growth of small seeds.

Soybean Meal 7 % Nitrogen 2 % Phosphorus 1 % Potassium Commonly available animal feed Cost $9.50/lb or $360/ton at time of study Allowed by National Organic Program

Haul a load of soybeans to the oil extractor, have them pay you for the oil, and haul a load of your own, home grown low cost fertilize/small seed weed killer/soil structure enhancing product back home.
