I don't remember the 70s. I was born in 1978. I do remember the 80s. The cab on an 86 series seems pretty cool compared to a year a round or a hiniker. They were an ok tractor. Even to this day, when I see a nice 4440, I think that this guy is quite the operator! My favorite tractor. A 1086 will make more power than a 4430. There is no way, they are making more power than a 4440, at factory settings. If you want to turn the pumps up on both of them, the in line Bosch a pump on the 44 will make more power than the rotary on the 10. 1086 seems better on fuel more than it probably is due to the larger fuel tank. There aren't very many 1086s that didn't need to get overhauled for electrolysis or need a torque or clutch within the first few thousand hours. There are 4440s that went over 10000 hours on the original clutch and engine. 4440 is my favorite tractor of all time.
