I still have one of each. (1086 & 4430)

Pros for the Deere:
1...better ride in the cab
2...better hydraulics

Pros for the IH:
1...better view from the cab, and more room.
2...will do anything the Deere will on about a third less fuel

After adding a K&M door handle and air ride seat, I'd rather drive the IH.
A lot of folks complain about the frontward opening doors.....that never bothered me unless the tire was dirty.
