No, just a narrow straight pipe, the muffler was under the hood out of sight.
I find that most who complain about the air stack, muffler and door post on Sound Gard cabs haven't spent much time in one. All of those 3 things line up when sitting in the seat and are not directly in front of you. So with the SG cab you have a total of 5 vertical obstructions all the way around and with the IH cab you have 7, the Deere cab was also light years ahead of IH in comfort. I'll stick to my JD.
I've ran soundguard since 1978. Not saying there aren't better cabs out there, but every time I hear someone complain about the door post, muffler and air stack, it makes me snicker. These new tractors have a muffler the size of a 30 gallon barrel hanging on the corner of the cab. | |
