Until about 1980 the biggest tractor I'd ever run was a 986 cutting hay as a summer job. Spring of 80 a neighbor bought a brand new 4640. A buddy and I stopped at a field he was plowing just to check it out. I was about 21 at the time, he stopped and told me to take it for a couple rounds, I couldn't believe it. Had a 9 shank disk chisel on it which it played with. He had it dynoed at about 100 hours and it was making over 200 horses from the factory.
