East central Indiana
Crimper is nice but a lot of levers to move. But nice to do in one pass. It's 3500 pds filled with water and the tractor doesn't know it's on there. Don't know about a loader but that is suppose to work too.

This is basically my second year doing this. I sprayed the rye with sharpen, me zen and RUP at planting. Then crimped also. Then I sprayed RUP post planting but could have gotten by without it.
May hit the rye with 2-4-d two weeks before planting then crimp the rye at planting this year. I don't spray before planting wheat and don't spray my wheat.

To be fair I had to replant most of my beans due to serious rains we experienced but conv guys did also. I yeilded average for my beans.
