Eastern Oregon | My understanding is that it is our (farmers) fault. Reference back a few decades ago when Toyota decided to enter the full size market.
They thought a half ton pickup was designed for hauling one thousand pounds. They quickly realized that farmers typically overload and over tow and that all of the domestic brands were overbuilt.
It's the American way: bigger, better, faster. Looks like the half ton today is yesterday 3/4 ton. | |
