I hope it can be made safer. But there is NOTHING that is absolutely safe.

You are wrong about the statement that it has never been used in the summer in hot weather. We did it for years in fairly tall corn in July, and never had a problem. We did use drops, so that may have helped.

So are you saying that even though it seems to work here with no issues, we should get rid of it completely for everyone?

You ask for ZERO tolerance. The problem is, zero keeps getting smaller. Usually a zero tolerance rule becomes very impractical.

If I wanted the line drawn at 100 safe, I would not exist. So, I draw the line at "let's see what really happened, and work to solve the problem."
