Spring Wheat vs Soybeans.. what gives?

Jon, I'm going to oversimplify this but the reason is ND is basically the Iowa of spring wheat. The Minnie wheat market depends more heavily on ND than the corn market depends on Iowa. And we are way down the list for soybeans. So that is part of the reason. The other part of the reason is most of the acres of beans are planted east of Highway 281 - most of the wheat is west of 281 - very different cropping regions in the state. There is still a lot of potential for those beans yet. There is no crisis for soybeans here.
