Because beans don't need much water when they are 6 inches tall and they can be on the verge of death and get a soaker and come back to life and make 50.
You are 100% correct. For the rain we have had lately and the heat leaving combine with the possibility of HUGE bean acres it is absolutely foolish to think beans should be rallying in here.
