Indiana doesn't seem to be hard to get along with as IL. So going from IL to IN you should be fine. I did by a trailer in IL and paid to have it delivered. That was cheaper then trying to get legal. I did buy a semi in MO and drove it across IL on my way home and never got stopped. If you can go on a weekend. Make sure your insurance will cover the truck if you go out of state.
