Recently went out of state to get a trailer with no DOT numbers or fuel permit. Take 2 lane hwys and avoid weigh stations, and if caught play the dumb farmer card. Was told by the MO DOT if I weighed under 26,001 lbs I did not need a fuel permit. After looking into getting DOT numbers I decided it was much easier to chance it.
Bought trailer out of state... Can I legally go get it?
