Go get it. We have had trucks with farm plates several states from home, and have never had a provlem. As long as it is your truck, your trailer, and you are NOT hauling for hire, you will be ok. Make sure you have a receipt in your name for the trailer, valid CDL, IFTA stickers and DOT number. Also might want to take a log book with you.
