Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | Gary, I understood what you meant by "where does it stop". If vigilantism is okay, then all of a sudden everyone is a vigilante. Which, I'd say in this situation is completely warranted. But I'm not the judge, and human nature being what it is, you'll have people whacking their neighbor over weed seeds blowing across the fence.
This is why we have the legal system that we do. It works too slowly, but if you were innocent and accused of a crime, wouldn't you want the case fully vetted instead of someone just taking care of themselves?
But, like I said, as a parent... well... other things come into play and I'd have probably done the same thing or worse. There was obviously no doubt what was occurring. | |
