That is quite simply irresponsible misrepresentation of the reality of the situation. Local police can do little to stop unreported crime.
Instead of belly aching about the results of a criminal trial, why don't you guys try to learn something instead of waiving around your ignorance of the law.
WHAT IF? WHAT IF? SO WHAT! Have you never witnessed a trial? "What if" is not a part of the proceedings, they deal in facts. Try that some time. The shooter was found guilty in a court of law. Bashing that finding and those who see it as sound upholding of the law will gain you little except in your own head games, and of course in the head games played here on NAT.
Victims? Yes, I see us all as victims; but there is little excuse for being victims of your own ignorance when the opportunity to learn is before you. That was the "kids" problem, the shooter's problem, and your problem.
