I feel wanting strings to insurance is a very poor way of doing it. The farmers are shooting themselves in foot by doing this. Remener you never go backwards it's always tighter on regulations.

I think too many farmers said fine keep your direct payments ill go tile my land and be further ahead. The strings to insurance is the way to keep the tentacles of government into farmers. I guess we as farmers haouldnt have been so loud mouthed about our plans and maybe this wouldn't be happening.

It's odd that all these green ethanol energy bashing stories are surfacing just as farm bill is being written again and rfs is under review. Perhaps they see ethanol as way out of farm program for farmers and of they could knock down ethanol and also keep farmers entrenched in farm program that has tighter strings and therefore make farmers less likely to want to leave it for the greener pastures of high prices.
Yes conspiracy theory but the news cycle of late is sure making it look that way
