Subject: RE: Economy Car experiences

My wife has a Toyota Matrix, which comes off the same assembly line a Pontiac Vibe, and both have Toyota motors. Its gets near 32 mpg and she the turbo'ed four banger in hers. It is all wheel drive and does better than expected in the snow and on slick roads. It's nice because it has a hatch back door that raises up and you can fold down every seat including the passenger seat to be able to haul stuff around. The backs of the seats are durable plastic and easy to clean if you get anything on them when hauling things. Knock on wood we have had no problems with it all, just oil changes and regular maintenance over the last couple years and it seems like a pretty good car. Good crash test ratings for a smaller car also.
