I'm with Ed, go with the Impala, that will likely be my next car. Also, maybe a newer Lumina (made till 2001?) with less miles?

My work car gets 125 miles/day 4 days a week. It's a 97 Lumina, now at 260K. I bought it @ about 200K for $700 2 years ago, only $ has been oil & filters, tires, a P/S pulley, and a junkyard set of rear struts. Prior car was a 96 Lumina, only got 175K out of that one before she puked.

Bottom line, in my book the best car for high mileage driving is one that someone else took the depreciation on. That's what got me on the Luminas, and next the Impala, rental co's buy them by the 1000s, and the resale value shows it.

My 3.141529 (Rounded off, a little math humor) cents worth

Steve
