There is no manure runnoff with hog barns and deep pit storage. My manure is tested and applied at proper levels and incorporated. There are many acres not manured in my area. Many cattle lots are going to storage areas also.
I don;t see an end to animal concentration HERE..I see more...
I would like to add that we are only 2 passing tillage here. on cornstalks Ripper in the fall and one pass field cult in the spring and soybeans its manure incorporation fall and one pass field cult in the spring, With manure I don't know how we could lessen tillage. You can;t just plant into tracks made from the tractor and 7200 gal manure tanks or into the mounds made by the incorporation disc hillers.
There is still alot of residue left on the surface enough that I had to go to a newer style field cultivator that handles alot of residue,
