Good land is good land. We are blessed, well, at least you guys are blessed. Mine is marginal. Did you see the study on how roots are affected by the temperature? Hot temps make the root go sideways, while cooler temps make them go down. The excessive heat may have been a factor in the corn yields down south, other than the drought. We are a bit cooler up here and everyone is wondering where their corn yield is coming from. We weren't flooded out this spring, so our roots went down big time from the very start. I would love to try a controlled traffic field, as when I get done running around with my triples every spring, I must have a third of the field packed.
