It always amuses me somewhat how everyone thinks their way of doing something is the right way and if you don't do it that way, you are wrong. All my farms are within 10 miles of each other and they are each different. I don't know how one guy in one state can say his way is best for everyone else. I do no-till as long as I can keep it smooth. But I don't like bouncing around in the tractor cab so if I get combine or sprayer ruts in my no-till fields, they get worked. My neighbor has no-tilled for 10 or 12 years now. I drove across one of his fields a couple weeks ago on my atv to get to one of mine. I couldn't believe how full tracks and rough it was. As with everything, there are advantages and disadvantages to each method. I could argue both sides of this issue.
