You go right ahead, Jim.

I think it is far different being a dairy farmer than a beef farmer, as far as culls go. Dairy cows are under much more stress than beef cows are, as are their owners.

This may come as a sort of a shock to you, but most of our culls are due to health problems. The vet says ship 'em, I ship 'em. The vet says treat them, I treat them.

Tomorrow we are going to sell a cow that was given Nuflour 30 days ago. She was given oxytetracycline a week before that. She had coliform mastitis. Are you saying, what, we should have shot her or something? She looks ok to me. She might get tanked when she gets there. I have no control over that. Personally, I wish she would have died on day one. But once we got her over the initial sickness, I'd like to get at least try to get my time and materials back.

We have cows with bad feet and legs. How bad is bad? Shoot them all?
