I haven't had a chance to look it up, but let me explain drought corn or my thinking. When you develope kernels of corn you remove more phos with more kernels and stalks and cobs will have more potash removal. The stalks will not be pulling any potash from the soil when there is no moisture and roots can't effectively take up nutrients and the same basically goes for phos. Basically that is why the stalk is dying from the ear trying to get all of the nutrients from the stalk that is being canabalized from not being able to replenish the ears removal. You certainly have nutrient removal from silage no matter what has happened. Just not as severe.
