Wouldn't it make the most sense to chop it, leave an appropriate number of check strips, and buy it according to yield? Or just buy it so much per ton? Seems like it would be tough to get very good measure of it buying it by the acre. With that kind of variability might be best to weigh a couple loads, count loads and just buy tons.
