Adams, NE | Lots of room to have enough ethanol balance sheet for the rfs2 and cut ethanol demand. There is at least 2.0 billion gallons of excess rins around, at least 750 million gallons of excess ethanol inventory. If we used all that to fullfil the corn based ethanol portion of ethanol demand, we can drop ethanol demand for corn by almost a billion bushels. The market will need to ration this demand though.
The real issue with rfs2 is the advanced portion of the mandate. | |
