Wow- appreciate the feedback. Good stuff -- I'm keeping my eye on dispersal sales, family heritage has been in the Hereford business, but may look at Angus cows with Hereford cross just due to popularity around these parts. Still not decided. I'll keep these 2 options open and let circumstances (dispersal sales, private sales, etc) that present themselves help me there.

I am considering fencing in the 60 acre prairie meadow. I've got the sizeable pastures with good fencing (need to add paddocks for rotational) but think I may get better use of the prairie today as pasture vs buying hay equipment (would need baler, rake and mower).
