Subject: Re: oil change intervals on cars

I have a 08 GMC Sierra bought Brand New and have Run nothing but Mobil 1 5-30 in it from the first Service... I change the oil in Filter in this every 5,000.. probably kinda excessive... Also have a 04 GMC Sierra i just run Conventional Mobil Clean 5000 in that and try to change every 4,000miles but sometimes it don't get done till 5,000 either... 04 has 117,000miles doesn't use a drop between changes and the 08 has about 67,000 miles and it uses nothing.. Also like mentioned above, it does seem to tell whether the vehicle is has synthetic oil or not because 5000 miles on the 08 with Synthetic it usually says about 45-48% oil Life left and the 04 shows about 30% left.. Driving basically Identically...
