So. IL | Im not sure but there must be something to the sensors. My wife got a new car a couple years back and I ran valvoline in it till it hit 20,000 miles, always changed oil at 3,000 miles and like you, the sensor always said I had 30-40% life left. I then switched over to Moble 1 extended performance synthetic(15,000 mile oil), and the sensor can tell it has this oil on it and when I put 15,000 miles on the oil it will say it needs changed. | |
