My Mom used to use the chef boyardee kit. She browned hamburger and precooked it with the sauce. She would put the crust in 2 pie tins and put the hamburger in fairly deep and top with mozzarella and parmesan. I haven't made it that way for a while and I'm getting hungry thinking about it.
