Remsen, IA | Having the tractor shift the implement is nothing new. The difference is that until now the operator was doing his best to manually compensate for slope and corners while now the iguide is in control. The result should be the same so if it worked before, it should work now. Take the spraying example. If the iguide has to move the tractor onto the rows to get the sprayer in the right spot then an operator on manual would have had the same problem. So, I would think that in most cases if you can get the sprayer around the corner on manual without running the rows over then shouldn't the iguide be able to also? Sure, having the coulters or whatever steering the implement and having both the tractor and sprayer right in the center of the row is better. But in all but the extreme cases it probably isn't needed.
