Subject: jd iguide

(WCIA) Glidden, IA
I was signed up to recieve the new iguide from on trial basis from JD for this spring. Heck, I even paid for it in advance last August '06. Supposedly recalled back due to errors. Was wondering if anyone else has been in the same scenerio. Does the trimble system improve the accuracy much?

I have had trouble in the past after planting with follow-up operations following rows in good fashion with sf2. I sidress with 2- 24 row sidedressers at 8.5-9 mph and had marginal luck at best. 4920 sprayer is really sad at anything over 8 mph and the combine is not even close at harvest time. RTK doing better??? I have one original greenstar and one new gs2 both with itc receivers. Now just sitting on the fence wondering if iguide is the answer or just go to rtk. Don't want to waste a year for improvement. Spent big $$$ and promised the world. Dealer also can't belive the lack of good answers from upper JD ag management guys.

Located in WCIA, CIA and NCIA
