| Googling with quotes "spent phosphoric acid" I see lots of Asian and Russian vendors. I see lots of entries on cleaning it up.
http://books.google.com/books?id=z2NLRf0ROx0C&pg=PA470&lpg=PA470&dq... shows some ways phosphoric acid is used, from tooth repair adhesive to giving soda pop its kick. And where its used for metal polishing, is where it can gather much iron, aluminum or other heavier metals.
