Subject: RE: 86 series IH tractors.

i agree! Very well said. My experience comes from the '66 series IH tractors, though. The 1566 we have starts easy in the cold and is reliable although its had a fair amount of major work in 8000 hours, mainly invloving everything behind the engine. The cab has been off at least 3 times that i remember. Road speed isn't much to speak of on the 15s though, it only has 3 speeds hi/low and you have to have it wound for sound to get 18 mph out of it. Hydrualics are very poor compared to the same year deere or case tractors.
