I'm not convinced one way or the other. I'm taking the story at face value. When all the things I've ever seen or read about this area have stated that it's from agricultural erosion.
I don't have any reason to not take that as the true nature of the area.
Fair enough. It does, unfortunately, seriously erode the credibility of the basis for your position regarding ag-caused erosion on this thread.
Erosion happens, certainly. Human interaction can definitely impact that activity to various degrees. Less govt is a good thing. We can agree on those points without doubt.
Interesting study that looked to show pre-settlement human-caused erosion in an area a bit north of GA:

I tend to agree with their postulation that we generally ignore anything before the white man and his activities, treating the before-time as love and harmony. Their test results were interesting. |
