I saw inches of lost soil in fields this very morning in south dakota. I see hills down to the subsoil everyday and haven't had topsoil for my entire lifetime.

I'm not saying every single acre should or even could be no till with cover crops but I think we could all do a little something. I don't like cover crops wasting water. I'd till everything if I knew for a fact it wouldn't erode. I can't know that so I won't do it.

Ignoring it won't help when the soil service gets another go at erosion reduction.
