| Saw a video on YouTube from I think 'PA Farms' talking about how if he could start over building a farm would probably custom hire planting and harvesting and get a good cab tractor and sprayer while working off farm. Resonated with me as good advice for an spring first Gen farmer. Make your time the most productive where you can and the most comfortable/ reliable. Since working off farm is a must building from scratch.
Don't see many cases where someone starting out completely on their own can get a land base in year one to support a full time farm job. | |
