North of London
It is an individual thing.
Some people seem to need a change in work all the time although farming would seem to give that to anyone actively doing it
Some people just get depressed easily when things do not go well.

And then there are some who just keep doing what we have always done.
If I did my math correctly I just finished planting my 59th crop.
First one was in '65
Of course I actively helped my father fr a number of years before planting my own crop after graduating from Ag School.

Not unhappy but it is becoming a bit harder to do especially as I am still recuperating from a little health problem.

Will I do it again next year?
Way I feel now probably, what else can an old guy do to keep active?

I do know several who are older than me still actively farming and I could also point you to several who are younger than me and began farming after me and have retired from the business a number of years ago.

Do what you like and do not complain about things and you will enjoy life more.
