NE Iowa
I'd be interested to hear from some international AgTalkers. Thinking European, SE Asia, etc. to see if similar sentiments are found with the same frequency there. This past school year we hosted an exchange student from Armenia. It opened our eyes, once again, to some things that happen here that aren't necessarily as common in other (older) countries. Things like multiple generations ofter under one roof. Not taking schedules, due dates, etc too importantly (we were CONSTANTLY trying to get our 'daughter' to school on time). Unannounced visits to friends/family that would last for hours. Little talk of their jobs/occupations. No counselors to address that mental health challenge of the day. Been wondering if some of the things that are commonplace in other countries were commonplace here, there might be a change in overall life satisfaction.

Part of me wonders if this is tied into America's undeniable walking away from God. Lot of directions one could take with that, but will just leave it at that.
