Usually have no money to speak of. Have huge assets and worth millions only if you quit and sell you have money.
Could be part of it
For me the action of farming is awesome. The worst part is marketing and I am relatively hopeless at it. Oh, and the weather can drag on you when it doesn’t rain for 50 days and you had a perfect crop before that.
As a grocery store owner, the weather affects business probably 5% vs farming 100% of the time.
