Just for a different take, forget the plow, spray the plot with glypho, get RR alfalfa established with PH adjusted as needed, keep plot clean of weeds initially with glypho as needed, put on fertilizer as recommended, mow plot as desired. but possibly mow half at a time, always keeping part of plot in bloom during the growing season for bees, butterflies, etc.
