| Like said probably best bet would be add to attic and remove siding and either drill, holes, top and bottom of cavity, and fill with cellulose (or foam) just gotta make sure you don’t blow the interior walls out doing that but we have done a few houses like that and they were a lot tighter. The problem with that is you don’t necessarily know if it got to the bottom and top of each cavity for sure . I have never done that with foam, but seems like that would almost work around wires better than cellulose. We also have put 1” board foam behind siding and sealed all seams and that has really tightened up the houses too. Really the Thing that makes R-value worth anything is stopping wind draft. If you took the back off of a fiberglass bat, you would be able to blow right through it. That is why fiberglass works even is because of the backing in my opinion. | |
