You say that all AFS file formats can be read by Agleader's SMS.  That is wonderful.  But can Agleader's SMS also upload and download data to JD's GS2?  It sounds like you are wanting guys to commit completely to SMS and red equipment.

As a producer and PA consultant, I'm looking for a software solution that can work with all hardware.  Is SMS committed to working with JD?  If not, SMS won't work for me or most of my customers.  If SMS doesn't work, then red equipment that requires SMS desktop software won't work.

At least with JD, we're not locked into using JD's software.
