| Oh I’m already positioned with new crop futures and options. Started the positions this last fall after seeing/hearing many yield results from various sources throughout the country. China comes in and starts buying cheap corn just like they did with soybeans. They know the USDA is wrong and are acting accordingly. SA safrina corn crop is well behind schedule and shrinking daily. Throw in a 170-175 US yield and the pipeline is virtually empty. 170-175 is not a crop failure by no means either.
If we do not produce the highest corn yield in history this year....then prices now are cheap. I think everyone is aware that Mother Nature has been a real bich the last few years. For those claiming that 180 is realistic and highly possible.....do you just assume that the weather will straighten up and everyone of the 92 million acres will have great conditions? | |
